Albums

The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and numerous compilations. Toto has released original music as well as collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed the members of the group did session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.

The band's third album, Turn Back, marked a departure from the more progressive sound of their previous albums and was criticized for the lack of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Fredericksen resigned The band held auditions to find a replacement frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.
