Study of Chinese Learners' Pedagogical Choices in Korean

The results revealed that CLKs frequently chose to resist native Korean pragmatism norms. Their decisions were influenced by four factors that included their personalities and multilingual identities, their ongoing life histories as well as their relational affordances. First, the MQ data were analyzed to identify the participants' pragmatic choices. The data was categorized according Ishihara (2010)'s definition of pragmatic resistance. However, the interviewees also expressed concern about the social pressures and consequences they could face if they flouted their local social norms. This will allow them to better understand the effect of different cultural environments on the behavior of students and classroom interactions of students in L2.
