Albums

The discography of the American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, and several compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.

Before the formation of Toto the band, members performed sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics for the absence of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Fredericksen resigned The band held auditions to choose a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the album Fahrenheit in 1986.

While touring for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun, drummer Leland Sklar departed from the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live album titled Falling in Between, which included recordings from the tour and an interview with the band.
