A pushchair that is all-terrain with excellent maneuverability will suit you whether you're seeking a stroller for nature walks or an excursion on the high street. These models typically come with large wheels and suspension systems that provide an easy ride on rough terrain.

There's a whole range of three-wheel all terrain pushchairs to pick from with a fantastic off-road performance. They are perfect for those who live in the countryside or walk on uneven, rough ground. These are more robust and durable than a standard pushchair. They are equipped with unique features like large puncture-proof tires that can handle the most difficult surfaces. They're usually quite wide, and can be tricky to manoeuvre in tight spaces or narrow aisles in shops.

The seat of an all-terrain buggy could be a parent or world facing and will grow with your child, from newborn to toddler (it's suitable for children as young as 6 months). This model is also suitable from birth and can be used in conjunction with a carrycot or a lay-flat seat.

Another option is the iCandy Peach All-Terrain, which features large tyres as well as one steering wheel at the front. It's not as versatile as some of the other all-terrain pushchairs on this list, but it does cope well with hilly terrain and has an ample one-handed fold, which is perfect if you're planning to be using the pushchair for long walks or trips to the countryside. It's also suitable for babies and has a large sun canopy that extends and some great parent-friendly features including an easy-to-use brake pedal, adjustable handlebar and generously sized basket.

Storage

For parents that would like to take their little one off-road but don't necessarily fancy taking on Ben Nevis, there are top all-terrain pushchairs that give you the best 3 wheel stroller with car seat of both worlds. Look for models that have good all-terrain capabilities, sturdy suspension and large puncture-proof wheels, but is designed in a traditional pushchair design with reversible seating as well as full carrycot options.

UPPAbaby's popular Ridge all-terrain pushchair is a great example of this. If you intend to use your all-terrain pushchair to do occasional jogging, ensure that the front wheel can swivel or features a quick release mechanism to ensure it is locked in place for more stability.

It is essential to determine if the pushchair fabrics can be machine washed to keep them in pristine condition. If not, a spot clean with warm water and a bit of mild soap will suffice. Drying the fabric completely outdoors can also prevent the growth of mould and mildew.
