Buying a Tandem Double Buggy

A tandem double pushchairs for siblings buggy could be a great choice when you have twins or children who are close in age. They're narrower than side-by-side buggies, and ideal for maneuvering narrow spaces like doors, on public transport and on rocky terrain.

Some can be converted into travel systems that use two carrycots or car seats for children. However, they are heavier and longer than single pushchairs, and may feel less stable in bumping up kerbs.

It's important to remember that a large double buggy will be heavier and bulkier than a single buggy that is smaller So make sure it's what you need before you purchase. You'll need to take it off and on subways, buses, and trains regularly so it needs to be easy to use and manage. You may also have to juggle it on and off the car seat when you take your children to nursery or school so you'll need to be aware it's easy to maneuver within small spaces.
