What Are the Different Types of Codes and How Do They Work?

Unlike older keys, modern car reprogramming keys for cars have chips inside that are unique to each vehicle. This prevents thieves from simply taking the key and then turning on the car.

These keys can be purchased at an auto dealer or copied in the locksmith's shop. The procedure of the manufacturer differs, but it involves turning the ignition key to the "on" position, without beginning the car, and then removing the key after the specified time.

Transponder Codes
