iRobot Combo Review

Combo is the first mop-and-vacuum robot, and it's the most attractive model of the company. The brushed aluminum top and iRobot Logo are more classy than the loud designs from rivals.

It's not a mop

When you're ready to charge your Combo irobot, just place it on the charging station and align its metal contacts with those on the base. The charging station functions well and is easy to put in. During my tests it took only a few seconds to charge, and then it made noise when finished. After the Combo robot is fully charged you can begin a mapping run on the app to help the robot understand your home. The app allows you to mark certain objects as permanent avoidances, such as lamp cords. You can also connect your robot to Alexa or Google Assistant, so you can use voice commands to guide it around the home.

It's a smart device

Combo irobots utilize acoustic and onboard sensors to discover the kind of floor it's stepping on as well as the objects that are in your home.
