Bagless WiFi-Connected Robot Vacuum

This bagless wifi-connected robot has an all-black, utilitarian design. Its price is comparable to other top-of-the-line smart robotic vacuums.

You can control it with the physical Clean and Dock buttons at the top of the screen, through the SharkClean app or with voice commands using Alexa and Google Assistant. It comes with a variety of smart features, including home mapping and virtual no-go zones.

Matrix Clean

The top vacuum cleaner in America (based on NPD Group/Retail Tracking Service data). Matrix Clean has incredible suction power as well as Matrix & Precision Mapping. It also comes with a self-emptying bottom.

It also works with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start a cleaning task without touching the robot.

It's a great choice for most homes, however its navigation capabilities may be problematic for some. The bump bot had issues with stairs. Other bump bots can avoid them but this one could not. It used LiDAR sensors and infrared to map my house but it was constantly mistaking my cat condo as stairs and asked me to move it. Additionally, it only ran for 180 minutes before running out of power, which was much less than advertised.

Self-Empty Base

This Shark model is equipped with a HEPA filtered bagless base. It has a huge capacity. It can hold debris for up to 60 days and does not have to be cleaned daily like some other models. It also has a large amount of amazing Shark suction that can tackle the most difficult of mess. The only issue is that the docking station's vacuum system to clean the onboard dust bin is surprisingly loud.

When the robot is plugged in and charging it will sound a beep and a green light on its top will flash to signal that it's ready to start cleaning. If the battery of the robot is low, it will dock itself to its base and stop working until it is recharged. It is essential that the dock or Self-Empty Base is placed in a place that isn't obstructed by furniture or other objects and is clear of any obstructions in the vicinity of it.

Although this model is somewhat more expensive than other mid-range robotic mops we've tried, it's well-built and has better performance on bare floors as well as a longer battery life, less demanding maintenance requirements, and a greater range of automation features that include virtual boundary markers.
