Jaimerson Xavier will not be joining Bhayangkara FC in Liga 2. The ex-defender of Persija Jakarta and Persis Solo has opted to join PSBS Biak, which has been promoted to BRI Liga 1 2024/2025. Jaime becomes the eighth foreign player at PSBS following Alexsandro from Brazil, Abel Arganaraz from Argentina, Gabriel Esparza from Argentina, Williams Lugo from Colombia, Takuya Matsunaga from Japan, Jonata Machado from Brazil, and Julian Velazquez from Argentina. Jaime first played in Liga 1 in 2018. In his debut season, the Brazil and Portugal league veteran led Macan Kemayoran to the championship.

Prapanca is uncertain whether Atletico Madrid will still come to Indonesia following the cancellation of the friendly. He mentioned that Persija initially planned to test their strength against the Spanish giants. "I don’t know. You should ask the promoter whether Atletico Madrid will come or not. As for the planning, yes, the plan was there," Prapanca said. "But the promoter also needs to get approval from our federation and PT LIB to see if it could be arranged during the 2024 President’s Cup," he concluded.
